UBATECH (Subatomic Physics and Associated Technologies) is a joint research unit affiliated to three supervisory bodies.
the French National Institute for Nuclear and Particle Physics (IN2P3) of the CNRS, Institut Mines Telecom Atlantique and the University of Nantes.
The laboratory offers a dynamic scientific environment; it has been supporting the XENON international collaboration experiments since for the direct search for Dark Matter and is currently exploiting the data from the XENONnT experiment.
The Xenon team at the SUBATECH laboratory is a technological research team made up of 5 permanent researchers (2 CNRS, 2 IMT-Atlantique, 1 University), 1 engineer, 1 postdoc and 8 PhD students.
The members of the group have recognised expertise in liquid xenon time projection chambers used for astrophysical research (XENON, DARWIN, nEXO, XeLab, XERD and XLZD projects) and for medical imaging (XEMIS project).
The group designed and is responsible for one of the key elements of XENONnT used to process liquid xenon in most of the crucial phases of the experiment.

Its members are heavily involved in the search for dark matter and double beta decay without neutrino emission, as part of the XENONT collaboration.
e welcome highly motivated applicants with a solid astroparticle physics background, good computing skills, experience on data treatment and analysis.
The successful candidate will be member of the XENON Collaboration.
He/She will take part to all the activities foreseen by the collaboration.
from data taking to data analysis, calibrations and Monte Carlo simulations.
He/She will also have the unique chance to work on the more technical aspects of the large liquid xenon dual phase time projection chamber of XENONnT.
Details on his/her implications will be discussed based on the candidate specific competencies and interests.
Extended stays at the experimental site (Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso, in Italy) might be required.
riority will be given to young researcher with less than 3 years experience after the PhDdefense or who are expecting to graduate before starting the position.
