HE ROLEYou will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where material scientists, chemists, physicists, and mechanical and biomedical engineers collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.
The research group, within the Center for Materials Interfaces (CMI), is led by Dr.
Virgilio Mattoli, who has extensive experience in micro/nanofabrication, two-photon lithography, conformable electronics, and sensors.
The research will focus on the development of solution-processable sustainable dielectrics polymers, to be used to implement high-capacitance nanofilm dielectrics (%26lt; 100 nm), and integration of that into printed organic electronic component and devices by van der Waals transfer-based lamination protocols.
ithin the team, your main responsibilities will be.
ynthesis of highly filmable copolymers having a polyurethane and/or polyester structure incorporating highly polarizable unitsOptimization of integration processes involving van der Waals transfer-based lamination protocolsCharacterization of the fabricated high capacitance nanofilm dielectrics and test devicesESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS A PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering or Physics, and similar disciplinesDocumented experience on chemical synthesisKnowledge of polymer chemistry and material scienceKnowledge of characterization equipment for chemical and physical properties of materials.

The GRETA project aims at developing the first green, printed and flexible organic wireless identification tag operating at Ultra-High Frequency (UHF, 300 MHz - 1 GHz).
