OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (PLANNING & LOGISTICS)-CHINESE SPEAKER

Key Responsibilities: As an Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing both logistics and planning functions, ensuring seamless coordination of operations across the supply chain. Your responsibilities will include: Planning Responsibilities: Collecting, consolidating, and analyzing monthly 3+3 Forecast data to identify and resolve potential issues. Gathering sales demand data and confirming Purchase Orders (POs) from various markets. Preparing and managing delivery plans based on vehicle demand in POs and expected payback dates. Generating Proforma Invoices (PI) as per applications received from markets. Managing PO payback processes with dealerships and tracking delivery schedules. Conducting data analysis using Excel spreadsheets to support decision-making and improve forecasting accuracy. Logistics Responsibilities: Maintaining daily communication with Italian dealers, LSPs (Logistics Service Providers), and internal colleagues. Arranging local Italian transportation and managing shipments from EU ports to Italian compounds by selecting optimal suppliers and transportation methods (trucking, shipping, or combined). Monitoring real-time shipment statuses and maintaining close contact with logistics service providers. Handling commercial documents (e.g., invoices) and ensuring they are delivered to and managed by the relevant parties. Tracking vehicle arrivals at ports and monitoring the delivery and registration status in each market. Organizing and providing real-time updates on POs and deliveries. Participating in monthly review meetings with logistics suppliers to identify areas for improvement. General Responsibilities: Ensuring effective communication with company departments in Europe, BYD China HQ logistics colleagues, and external partners, including dealers and LSPs. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics and planning workflows. Managing data in ERP/WMS/OMS systems and performing manual updates (e.g., using Excel) when required. Addressing potential issues or bottlenecks in the supply chain and proposing actionable solutions. Assisting with all necessary procedures and paperwork, both internally and externally. Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, Statistics, or a related field. Experience : At least 2-3 years of experience in logistics, demand planning, or a related field in the automotive industry. Technical Skills : Proficient in using ERP/WMS/OMS systems. Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Language Skills : Fluency in Chinese and Italian. We offer: Performance and experience based competitive remuneration.
