Who are we? Avio Group is an international organization, leader in the development and production of space launchers, solid and liquid propulsion systems, as well as tactical missile systems. Avio premises are located in Italy, France and French Guyana with 5 sites and more than 1000 employees, 30% of them are involved in R&D activities. What do we do? Avio is leader in space propulsion and launchers sectors, thanks to more than 50 years of activities in such fields. In addition to its role of prime contractor for the Vega launcher family, the European Space Agency has recently decided to entrust Avio with the role of Launch Services Provider and operator of the Vega launcher. The team in charge of the marketing and operations of Vega launch services will be based in Paris, France at AVIO FRANCE offices. For new and challenging projects, we are looking for professionals from the space sector with passion and motivation to becoming part of a big team with importance goals. In particular a Mission Manager (M/W). As a Mission Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of key projects from inception to completion. You will lead cross-functional teams of engineers and technicians, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership and strategic vision will be instrumental in driving the success of our space missions and advancing our capabilities in outer space. Key Responsibilities: · Manage the implementation of the Launch Service Contract: coordinate progress meetings, project reviews, establish plans for deliverables, manage launch services planning, coordinate/synchronize customer and internal project activities for the scopes of the launch contract implementation, report to the top management on project / launch contract execution. · Be the single customer interface from launch contract signature to contract close-out (after launch) · Be accountable to the customer for compliance with contractual requirements (programmatic, technical and planning) · Be accountable to the top management for compliance with the Quality, Cost and Planning objectives associated to the Launch Services Contract · Define and coordinate the internal support of the company for the scope of the specific launch services contract – with functional reports from the different entities. · Provide support to the sales activities in the phase of establishing the commercial offer. · Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). · At least 10 years’ experience in space business. Experience in a similar position would be an asset. · Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects from initiation to completion. · Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams. · Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. · PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
