MARKETING & PURSUIT SPECIALIST

Reporting directly to the Communications Manager u Continental Europe, the Marketing Specialist (MS) will work with our European, International and Marketing leadership to proactively support business development (BD), help build client relationships and work with various teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives and impactful communication across Europe.
Your work across Europe will target market growth in the defence sector, the manufacturing sector, and with public and private clients utilising EU funding.
The successful candidate will play a vital role across three key areas of focus u creating winning proposals, crafting compelling digital stories, and managing all the systems and processes to enable our growth.
Success is represented by the development of our relationship with key clients, building of our reputation, and our success at winning work through efficient and effective marketing.
You will help us achieve this working with a larger Stantec team of Operational Leaders, BD Leaders, and Marketing, Public Relations, and Communications professionals to build our brand awareness and identify - and help win - market opportunities for top line growth.
This will all be achieved in alignment with our three-year strategic plan and our cross-company brand identity.

Role & Responsibilities Business Development/Account Management/Proposal Development - Provide input and work closely with Europe and Marketing leadership to support Stantecus corporate and regional goals for revenue growth and market leadership in selected regional target markets - Engage with leadership and Account Managers in developing specific strategies for client and related event coordination, project opportunity / lead tracking, and provide marketing leadership on major or multi-disciplinary proposals in support of account management - Partner with Europe and Marketing leadership to develop key clients and project u201cmust winsu201d to target in each operating year - Maintain a thorough knowledge of Stantec's markets, clients, capabilities, staff, and primary competitors to support the development of pursuits as identified in the marketing and business development plans - Work with the regional marketing team and pursuit leaders/business developers to support cross-promotion of Stantec's various service offerings, where opportunities for the delivery of integrated services exist - Provide marketing support for all aspects related to the proposal process including workflow coordination, Marketing Go / No Go, resource requirements (e.
., identifying subject matter experts, external consultants, and related internal contributors), and technical content needs - Prepare high-impact proposals, presentations, and other communications in alignment with the Stantec brand - Serve in a quality control capacity during the preparation and review of proposal materials developed by the marketing team with specific emphasis on brand alignment, relevance, accuracy, and timely delivery - Provide planning support for all aspects related to client presentations including the preparation of PowerPoint slides, presentation boards, and print collateral materials - Provide marketing support for client presentations that includes critiquing at dry runs and providing final review on large proposal pursuits - Facilitate debrief meetings following project wins/losses - Monitor opportunity-related websites and publications for project opportunities and distribute as appropriate Brand Management/Promotions/Communications - Work closely with Europe and Marketing leadership to create compelling messages that set our firm apart from the pack - Partner with Europe and Marketing leadership to plan, implement, measure, and report on multi-channel (web, social, email, etc.) and multi-format (blog, video, webinars, eBooks, interactive, virtual events, etc.) digital content marketing campaigns that drive - Top-of-the-funnel brand awareness (web traffic, social media engagement, media coverage, etc.) - Middle-of-the-funnel lead generation - Bottom-of-the-funnel client engagement (i.
., account- based marketing) - Work closely with the Europe and Marketing leadership to implement the marketing and public relations strategies and plans in support of marketing communications initiatives and events for the campaign.
This includes regional community engagement - Work closely with Europe and Marketing leadership as a key contact for marketing communications information on behalf of the region - Ensure that key strategic and brand messages and Stantecus voice are consistent and communicated effectively to target audiences - Measure and report performance of campaigns and assess against goals; work with Europe and Marketing leadership to complete digital marketing activities and define ROI for leadership - Working closely with Europe and Marketing leadership as a key contact for marketing photography services on behalf of the campaign; including but not limited to client permission, project profiles, detailed photography requirements, and location support - Work with Europe and Marketing leadership to coordinate local marketing and communications platforms including targeted publications, e-campaigns, promotional material, booth, and banner stands involving key conferences/tradeshows and brochures - Keep abreast of trends and advancements in digital and social media marketing as well as emerging technologies and applications Marketing System Support/Leadership - Promote the consistent use of the Stantec Pipeline tool in support of account management, business development efforts, and opportunity advancement of pursuits.
- Working with end users, use the Stantec Marketing Knowledge Center (SMKC) to incorporate the principals of teamwork, collaboration, and information-sharing to achieve greater effectiveness in marketing-related projects and processes - Assist in the development and coordination of regional content for Stantec's communications systems and tools including the Stantec Marketing Knowledge Center (SMKC), stantec.

- Ensure all information entered into the system is timely, accurate and up-to-date and in adherence with Stantec standards and Style guide **Qualifications:** Education/Experience.
- Post-Secondary in business, marketing, communications, public relations, or an equivalent level of experience - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a marketing role in a medium to large sized organization Other Requirements.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing and business development best practice - Detail oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills - Ability to effectively balance conflicting priorities - Be a proactive uself-starteru, bringing energy, drive and creativity to the role - Excellent English (speaking and written English) is essential; German language skills are desirable and other European language skills an advantage - Commitment to client service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment - Demonstrated proficiency with web-based tools and Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel - Working knowledge in the use of desktop publishing software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
