Our historic Hotel, with its Michelin-starred Italian restaurant and a locally inspired Spa where you can spend afternoons in pure indulgence, is just steps away from the cultural heart of Florence.  About the roleAt Four Seasons Firenze we are looking for a passionate Laundry Attendant to be responsible for the meticulous upkeep of all linens used throughout the hotel as well as the detailed dry cleaning of our guests clothing and employee uniforms. This position is also responsible for the pressing and the dry cleaning of our guests’ clothes and other items per their particular requests, as well as for the pick-up and delivery of all dry cleaning requests. What you will doSort guest items for appropriate action and then process the clothing on the correct equipment, using the appropriate temperature and chemicals. Once processed, fold or hang the clothing as desired. Deliver clothing to guest at time desired.Process employee uniforms on the correct equipment using the appropriate temperature and chemicals. Once processed, hangs and transports clean uniforms to the appropriate storage.Sort used linens into appropriate categories for washing, sorting out stained or torn linen. Load and unload driers.Shake wet sheets, table linens and napkins prior to ironing in order to spread them out. Feed washed linens into ironer. Retrieve folded linens and stacks or hang clean linens as appropriate.Sort clean towels, rugs and robes. Place folded product on appropriate rack.Operate and maintain washer, dryer, dry cleaning machine, steam tunnel, presser and iron. Report any problems or deficiencies to the management team.Attend daily briefing from supervisor or management.Support in measuring new employees for uniforms and in tailoring services if needed.Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Housekeeping and Spa.Support with any other tasks within the division and/or any tasks assigned to by the management team. What you bringEducation: High school education or relevant experience.Experience: Minimum experience in a related position is preferable. Experience in tailor services is a plus.Skills and Abilities: Must possess flexibility, team work attitude and a can-do approach to any request. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian language. English is a plus.
