The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, thermal, waste, renewable generation, and transmission & distribution networks.
Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension.

In this position you will have the opportunity to work on basic and detail engineering of thermal power plants including.
Working in Team to prepare proposals and executing projects Support management for developing new clients and markets Preparation of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and thermodynamic models Equipment technical specification, evaluation of proposals.
Technical Coordination of a design team taking care of the schedule of projects and assuring quality of products Reporting on design progress and project management of commissions within agreed programmes Ensure compliance with construction (design and management) regulations Join us as graduate mechanical engineer based in our Genoa office, and you will have the option to work within either of the following areas.
Energy Networks – Substation Design.
You will have the opportunity to join a rapidly growing team expert in the design of electrical substations from transmission to distribution voltage level.
Working on projects that span across different insulation technology (e.
., air, gas, vacuum insulated substations), including producing detailed designs.
Guided by our technical experts, you will gradually become an electrical substation designer, and lead the interface with the other disciplines.
Energy Generation – Thermal Generation.
You will have the opportunity to work on the detail design works and OE services for power plants including renewables.
You will work in a team preparing proposals, executing projects, and support management for developing new clients and markets.
Delivering projects in accordance with agreed schedules at various stages including feasibility, and the planning and preparation of tender stage technical drawings, specifications and production of construction drawings and design compliance monitoring at construction stage for power plant applications; enhancing our business development and delivering projects in new technologies including renewable energy.

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will have less than 12 months relevant experience (excluding placements) and have a degree (obtained no earlier than ) or are expected to achieve one in mechanical engineering.
In your application you should be able to demonstrate your interest in the role and working at Mott MacDonald through relevant experience, such as studying relevant modules, or previous work experience.
