HEAD OF MODERN TRADE (cluster France/Netherlands/Belgium) Reporting directly to the Managing Director, he/she will have responsibility for all aspects of brand development and commercial management within the Off-Trade Channel.
The candidate will develop and implement a cohesive long term commercial strategy, based on insights and robust analysis, building on the strong relationships that the company has with the existing customers.
Continuing to deliver profitable growth by both seeking and recognizing new opportunities with existing and new customers, built on trust and integrity.
Key responsibilities.
accountable for a specific set of cluster retailers - developing strategies for the account base that deliver against company & customers KPIs be full responsible for contributing to total business budgeted sales and set subsector customer level budgets and KPI’s for the team as it grows responsible for leading the account team to develop, set and deliver the annual sales revenue plan accountable for the delivery of in-store execution, standards of distribution, display and promotion build and nurture key customer relationships up to Category Director level accountable for ensuring annual operating plans communicate a clear vision and objectives to the team, to motivate and inspire their performance continually develop the capabilities of the team, via coaching, feedback and formal training responsible for attending and shaping critical sales meetings and cross functional meetings to review progress and course correct where necessary.
develop & implement channel specific strategies and customer business plans.
manage channel budgets, revenues, sales, profit and associated costs.
identify new business opportunities especially in the on-line area with a coherent plan to deliver against these.
work closely with the marketing team to deliver outstanding Brand Activation in the Off-trade.
being a bridge with the global commercial team and customer marketing for all off trade touch points.
live the brand and represent thr company values to all stakeholders.
Education Bachelor’s Degree as minimum (Business / Marketing or economics preferred).
Fluent French and English; Dutch will be an advantage.
Experience A minimum of 10 years relevant senior sales experience working with FMCG (premium / luxury would be an advantage).
Evidence of developing highly favourable trading terms and significant account ‘wins’ within Retail / Grocery.
A very good knowledge of the French off trade market – managing national relationships with major multiple retailers, and delivering growth across portfolio.
FMCG experience predominantly.
Proven track record of people management that enables leadership and stimulates development.
P&L management and planning.
Proven track record of devising and implementing successful channel strategies.
Proven track record of dealing with key Modern Trade Retailers.
