In line with the Company’s current Agile Working Policy, the successful candidate would be eligible to work part of the week from our London office and to work remotely for the rest of the week. Position : Full time (35hr per week), 12 month fixed term contract Location : London / Hybrid Are you passionate about creating high-quality, thought-provoking content that engages audiences? Are you enthusiastic about public speaking and engaging audiences at events? If so, Retail Week is seeking its Head of Commercial Content to help lead the commercial content team, contributing to content strategy, driving commercial relationships and project management and delivery of campaigns across reports, editorial and events for our biggest clients. This is a 12-month fixed term contract. What you'll be doing: Lead the content strategy for Retail Week’s bespoke sponsored reports and live/virtual events under the Connect content marketing division. Maintain Retail Week’s excellent standards of content quality across all campaigns Write marketing copy and editing Coach and mentor newer team members, providing leadership and guidance. Act as deputy for the Director of Commercial Content when required. Be the key liaison between sales, marketing, and operations, ensuring effective communication across teams. Oversee the quality and delivery of all commercial content, maintaining Retail Week’s high standards across campaigns. Driving innovation and identifying new and inspiring retail trends and opportunities for new reports and events End to end project management of Retail Week’s in-depth reports and Connect events, including client breakfasts and boutique-style summits Research topics that align with audience interests and collaborate with the sales team to make content commercially viable Public-speaking opportunities, such as hosting panels at events. Participate in sales calls to identify commercial opportunities and support new business development. Passion for delivering thought-provoking content Strong client relationship skills Excellent writing and communication skills Management experience Comfortable with contact building at a C-suite level Creative mindset Substantial editing experience Strong research skills Collaborative approach Experience of commercial content Public speaking experience Experience in a B2B environment Journalistic background – desirable Knowledge of the retail sector - desirable 25 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays- increasing by one additional day after 6 years, up to a maximum of 30 days.
