GRANT PROJECT MANAGER

The group is organised in 3 Business Units: 1) Real Estate: for the development of affordable residential projects 2) Digital: for the development of the Planet digital platform and related services 3) Advisory: for providing advisory services to real estate developers The Role: Planet is currently recruiting for a Grants Project Manager. The resource will be part of the Grant Unit team heading submission and execution of funded projects. As a Grants Project Manager you will be responsible for the daily management and implementation of the funded project activities, caring about resource management (budget wise) and administrative activities (reports, technical and financial statements) and to prepare all the documentation requested for validation on the dedicated web services (such as the ECAS participant portal). You will play a pivotal liaison role with all internal and external stakeholders participating to the activities, spanning all Work Packages (WPs) and tasks related to the project implementation, and orchestrating the team engaged for the execution of the activities. Periodically and in a timely fashion you will keep participating Units up to date on new opportunities emerging from the execution of the activities or from different sources such as working groups, PPPs, other. Responsibilities: • Setup, monitor, and manage work schedules, implementation, adherence to quality standards & funding programme rules; • Compile grant forms accurately and on time per funder requirements (i.e. budget) • Define business plan and market assessment to drive innovation towards market • Coordinate internal and external project teams, and act as the centre of communication between all internal and external stakeholders, including Prompt liaison with the Head of Grant Unit; • Reporting to line manager the overall progress regarding milestones and deliverables; • Champion the preparation of deliverables, including policy statement and annual reports as well as preparation of the technical interim and final reports; • Identification of any unanticipated risks; • Co-drafting and supporting proposal preparation and tender submissions for project development related opportunities. Experience & Skills Essential • Minimum 3 years' work experience in grans/research project management (both direct and indirect funds); • Experience with the management and implementation of contracts and grants in complex organisations, including proposal submissions and reporting; • Exceptional organisational and planning skills with the ability to coordinate information and processes involving multiple people/teams; • Ability to manage a complex and heavy workload, to multi-task and take initiative; • Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels within the organisation, listen to and influence others; • Common sense approach, with a positive attitude and the ability to adapt to an evolving working environment; • Excellent English skills, both written and verbal at a proficient level, a good knowledge of Italian is considered an advantage; • Focus on clarity and persuasiveness; • Proficient in the use of Microsoft tools; • European national or holder of a valid work permit. Preferable • Familiarity with EU policy frameworks in the area of research and innovation; • Experience in writing for different audiences and purposes, including funding proposals, and presenting information clearly; • Office administration experience, including a proven track record of successfully maintaining databases and office records; • Pro-active, self-motivated and result oriented, takes initiative and has the ability to solve problems independently; • Cross-cultural sensitivity and appreciation.
