We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Rotherham site. This role pays £25,000-£30,000 doe with a further list of benefits. Main duties & responsibilities: Produce thermal process designs in accordance with customer specification and industry standards. Produce mechanical designs, including any beneficial alternatives, P&IDs, equipment sizing and subcontract equipment specifications in accordance with industry standard specifications such as ASME and PD5500. Ensure designs being produced are developed and correct and can be produced in a mechanically sound manner. To ensure that all work under their control is completed to agreed scheduled target dates. Fully ascertain, understand and address all customer requirements. Liase with customers to question, clarify or development their requirements. Provide technical support to sales engineers as required for meeting, development and proposals Identify training and learning opportunities to manager Degree in related Chemical or Mechanical engineering discipline Degree modules in thermal and mechanical First rate communication and organisation skills Excellent accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload Proactive, flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude’ Strong team player IT literate with specific experience using Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint programs.
