Among the European leaders in Wealth Management and Enterprise Risk Management solutions, Prometeia is looking for a Google Cloud Platform to join the IT team in its Milan or Bologna office.
ROLE.
We are seeking an experienced IT Consultant specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for a permanent position.
The role involves supporting clients in the implementation, management, and optimization of cloud infrastructures on GCP, with a focus on Microsoft Windows environments, CI/CD methodologies, the OpenShift platform, and BigQuery.
The ideal candidate will provide strategic and operational consulting to ensure the efficiency and security of cloud systems.
The consultant will be involved in project activities for one or more clients among the leading financial operators in Italy and Europe.
RESPONSIBILITIES.
Analyze business requirements to design solutions based on Google Cloud Platform.
Configure and manage GCP environments, focusing on Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Networking, and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
Integrate and optimize Windows environments on GCP, including Active Directory configurations and hybrid infrastructures.
Support the migration of workloads and on-premises applications to the cloud.
Implement CI/CD pipelines for automation and continuous deployment.
Configure and manage OpenShift-based environments in cloud or hybrid setups.
Develop analyses and optimizations using BigQuery for managing and processing large datasets.
Implement best practices for security, monitoring, and governance in GCP environments.
Train and support client teams to ensure operational continuity.
Produce technical documentation and detailed reports on the status of implemented solutions.
REQUIREMENTS.
At least 3-5 years of experience in IT consulting, preferably in cloud contexts.
Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, including certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent (preferred).
Experience with Microsoft Windows environments, including Active Directory configurations, Windows servers, and hybrid (on-premises and cloud) setups.
In-depth knowledge of CI/CD methodologies and related tools (e.
., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
Practical experience with OpenShift and containerization (e.
., Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in BigQuery and ability to work with large datasets.
Familiarity with the processes and requirements of the financial industry.
Strong skills in networking, storage, and identity management on GCP.
Ability to analyze complex scenarios and deliver scalable and secure solutions.
Knowledge of automation and scripting tools (e.
., Terraform, PowerShell, or Python).
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams.
Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments.
NICE TO HAVE.
Additional certifications in Microsoft Azure or AWS.
Experience in large-scale cloud migration projects.
Familiarity with Agile or DevOps methodologies.
