GENERAL ACCOUNTANT

As a General Accountant at The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, a Belmond Train, you’ll be a key part of the team ensuring the smooth financial operation of our luxury train.

rimary Responsibilities Include.
Account Receivables.
Manage intercompany invoicing and ensure timely processing and reconciliation of receivables.
Account Payables.
Handle intercompany invoicing, ensuring accuracy and prompt payment of invoices.
Inventory Management.
Conduct physical counts of inventory both onboard the train and at the depot, including beverage, retail, operating, and guest supplies.
BS Review Support.
Assist in the preparation and review of balance sheets, providing crucial support to ensure accuracy.
Onboard Consumables Reporting.
Maintain detailed reporting on consumables used onboard to ensure efficient tracking and restocking.
Data Entry Support.
Provide accurate and timely data entry support across all accounting and operational levels.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Previous experience in an accounting role, preferably in the hospitality or luxury service sector, is a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.
., WorkDay, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with financial reporting, invoicing, and data entry processes.
Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory counts, invoicing, and financial reporting.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments, including operations, inventory management, and senior leadership.
