FOREMAN IN TUNNEL CONSTRUCTION - INDIA

The leading infrastructure recruitment specialist are currently looking for an experienced tunnel foreman to join a leading international contractor on a prestigious railway infrastructure project in India.

Job Role/Responsibilities  Supervise and manage tunnelling operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
 Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and workers to meet project timelines.
 Oversee excavation, support installation, and mucking operations in compliance with design specifications.
 Maintain equipment and ensure adherence to maintenance schedules.
 Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment in challenging conditions.
 Monitor material usage and manage resources effectively to minimize wastage.
 Prepare daily progress reports and communicate updates to project management.
Project The infrastructure project is based in a state in Northern India crossed by the Himalayas.
It consists of the construction of several tunnels and bridges to form a railway line.
Requirements  Proven experience as a Tunnel Foreman in railway or large-scale infrastructure projects.
 Strong knowledge of NATM, TBM, or drill-and-blast tunnelling methods.
 Familiarity with tunnelling equipment and machinery.
 Excellent leadership and organizational skills with the ability to lead a diverse team.
 Strong focus on safety and quality control.
