We are now looking for an Automation Engineer to join our PCS (Propulsion Control System) team at Wärtsilä Italy. The position is permanent, and the preferred location is Trieste, Italy. What you will be doing As an Automation Engineer, your work will include electrical and automation design for our Propulsion Control Systems products. On a typical day, you might be involved in the creation of electrical drawings for our PCS equipment and the preparation of technical documentation for our customers. You will have support from the complete PCS team, which includes engineering as well as product development. In the PCS team, our mission is to provide market-leading systems for manoeuvrability, station keeping, and control of vessels in maritime industries. The Propulsion Control System covers the local and remote control systems for all Wärtsilä Propulsion equipment. As an Automation Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities: Creation of electrical drawings and layout drawings Implementation of customer specifications Release of Bill of Materials Ensuring compliance with technical specifications, deadlines, and budgets Preparation of technical documentation, including Installation Planning Instructions and Operation Manual Report status and problems of project-related issues to the team or line manager on time To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: Minimum of a Technical high school diploma in electrics, electronics, automation Understanding and/or experience with Electrical and Automation systems Competent user of AutoCAD Advanced English, both written and spoken Multitasking and customer-oriented approach Willingness to join an international team and environment Contact & next steps We hope to hear from you soon, by submitting your application through our careers portal.
