om/ Job Description HII is seeking an experienced  Data Engineer 3  to join United States Air Force Joint Mission Assurance Assessment (JMAA) teams in the Ft.
Meade area.
These teams perform Mission Assurance Assessment (MAA) missions integrating Mission Assurance-related programs and activities into a comprehensive, standardized, risk management assessment that assesses probabilistic risk to assets, systems, and essential capabilities.
Team members support the three phases of Mission Assurance Assessments including the Pre-Assessment Phase (mission analysis and pre-site survey); the Assessment Phase (vulnerability/risk assessment); and the Post-Assessment Phase (post analysis and reporting).
Support to these phases is in accordance with DoD Instruction (Mission Assurance Construct) and CJCSI A Mission Assurance Construct Implementation.
Essential Job Responsibilities Data Pipeline Development.
Design, develop, and maintain efficient data pipelines to process and integrate large volumes of data from various sources.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout the data pipeline lifecycle.
Optimize data pipeline performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Ontology Development.
Develop and maintain complex ontologies to model and represent data relationships effectively.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design ontologies that meet organizational needs.
Ensure ontologies are scalable, adaptable, and aligned with industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications   Experience.
6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
A minimum of 5 years as a data engineer.
Experience working in dynamic environments with stakeholders from multiple external organizations.
Education.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Specialization.
At least 1 year working with data engineering in the Palantir Foundry data integration platform or an approved equivalent.
Experience with both data pipelines and complex ontology development.
Technical Knowledge.
Demonstrable extensive knowledge of distributed computing frameworks (e.
., Spark).
Proficiency in Foundry programming languages (Python, PySpark, SQL, TypeScript).
Strong understanding of database modeling best practices.
Certification.
Must achieve "Foundry Data Engineer Certification" within 90 days of award.
Security Clearance.
Must possess an  active Top Secret/SCI  clearance at the time of application and be eligible for a Full Scope Polygraph.
Preferred Requirements Foundry Data Engineer Certification already obtained Top Secret/SCI with FS Poly Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods, often 6-8 hours a day, while working on computer systems and designs.
Capability to occasionally stand, walk, and move around within office environments or data centers.
Work Environment.
Primarily indoor, office-based with occasional visits to data centers or client sites.
Travel.
May require occasional travel to client locations or project sites.
