We are excited to announce a unique and exceptional opportunity to join Johnson & Johnson as a Director, Clinical Scientist- Imaging Specialist in our Clinical Development team within Interventional Oncology (INTO).
Interventional Oncology is a cross-sector program within Johnson & Johnson to transform the treatment of oncology patients.
The candidate will be responsible for the set up, tracking, and review of imaging data for INTO clinical studies.   Responsibilities include collaboration with clinical and cross function trial teams, external suppliers, and regulatory authorities.  The position will harmonize, manage, coordinate and provide oversight of clinical imaging related activities across INTO.  Responsibilities.
Provide expert imaging input into the design, set-up, execution, and data review of INTO clinical studies.
Develop a standard end to end process for imaging and integrate into wider clinical development procedures.
  Participate in the development & execution of study operational plans as it relates to imaging for clinical trials.
Work closely with all cross-functions trial teams (Clinical, Stats, Biomarkers, Discovery, Programming, DM, Operations and vendors).
In conjunction with cross functional trial team, provide direct communication with imaging vendors, set-up, delivery and of imaging endpoints.
Standardize imaging vendor documentation and activities alongside monitoring progress and quality Develop tools to track, assess and review imaging driven endpoints from a clinical perspective.
Work with data analysis team to establish standard outputs to ensure the delivery of high-quality imaging data.  Develop training tools and materials for imaging response criteria, imaging reconciliation and imaging methodologies to support team members and external partners throughout trial lifecycle.
Be the internal expert and point person for INTO on imaging response criteria including but not limited to – RECIST 1.

Investigate novel imaging methodologies and data analysis techniques (e.
.
AI and ML) working alongside data analytics teams.
Identifies issues and work towards mitigation strategies.  Proactively work with other teams that could be impacted by similar issues.   Escalate to appropriate stakeholders for quick resolution and contingency planning.
Qualifications Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline is required, with advanced degree (i.
., MSc, Ph.
., or Pharm D) being preferred.
  Seven or more years of clinical/biomedical research experience in or outside of industry setting (pharma, biotech, CRO etc.) is required.
A focus on imaging techniques is highly preferred.
Direct experience with clinical imaging (CT, MRI and PET) and the application to drug development is preferred.
Strong track record of working with imaging CROs and vendor management is required.
Experience in oncology is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to present scientific content to diverse audiences is required.
Learning agility and ability to work across multiple sectors (pharm, medical device, and or consumer) is required.
Ability to successfully work in a matrixed environment with both internal and external stakeholders including oncology community highly preferred.
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing clinical trials with a strong understand of imaging technologies and their applications in medical research is highly preferred.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.  Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.  The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.  Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.  Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs.
