DESIGN HSE ENGINEER

Our client is a leading multinational company operating in the Energy and Oil&Gas field.
For its Italian branch based in Milan we are searching for a Design Hse Engineer.
esponsibilities The Design HSE engineer (intended as Process Safety / Loss prevention / Technical Safety Lead Engineer) ensures, in his good autonomy, the participation and/or support in all activities of the HSE engineering discipline in the scope of work for offers/projects/studies under the supervision of discipline coordinator.

- is able to do the necessary calculations and simulations to produce the relevant documentation of complex projects and/or check/approve the corresponding documentation produced by assigned junior resources or external resources - provides supervision to the preparation of studies, documentation, technical specifications, roadmaps (P&ID), reports for process engineering development (in the different phases of Feasibility, Basic, FEED and Detailed Engineering and in the offer phases) - provides technical and organizational management as Lead engineer of the teams assigned for the specific projects (operational and/or offer), reporting to the HSEengineering discipline coordinator - participates to meetings with Customers, Consortium Partners, Authorities, Suppliers, etc...
(both at the company’s headquarters and elsewhere - Italy or abroad), for activities related to the assigned tasks - participate to surveys or assistance in field for HSEengineering subjects - provide assistance to other engineering disciplines for the development of engineering activities related to the HSEengineering documentation produced and for the correct application of the corresponding requirements - executes his works in compliance with company project standards and quality policies, with the applicable laws and regulations, and according to the schedule of the assigned projects - keeps him/herself updated about the technological developments, new risk analysis methodologies and issues of new/updated safety laws and regulations.
- is open to use/develop methodologies of Process safety (HSEeng design) to be applied to industrial fields of Oil&Gas, Energy Transition, Green economy, Refinery, Power generation and Infrastructures, under the supervision of discipline coordinator - supports the training of young HSEengineers in the teams.
Your Profile Good knowledge of Process safety/HSEeng design including consequence and risk analysis, fire protection design, environmental protection.

Oral and written communications skills.  Engineering graduation with focus on safety/loss prevention design or Loss prevention design in particular for Oil & Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical industry Good experience of the most common Risk analysis methodologies and use of relevant dedicated commercial software Good experience in Active Fire fighing system design and construction, mainly according to NFPA and EN standards Fire Professional certification ex D.
