DEPUTY DIRECTOR STRATEGY POLICY AND RESOURCES

You will serve as a DEPUTY DIRECTOR, STRATEGY, POLICY, AND RESOURCES in the MARITIME HEADQUARTERS (N5A), of COMUSNAVEUR-COMSIXTHFLEET SEA. This announcement has been amended to extend the closing date to 12/23/2024. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing comprehensive plans, strategies and policies that drive internal and external integration of programs and activities in support of higher echelon goals and objectives; Analyzing and solving complex problems that require coordination between functional areas that are interlocked to ensure the successful operation of all components; Interpreting program policies and regulatory requirements to develop short- and long-range planning guidance; Utilizing performance assessment tools to analyze and measure the effectiveness, efficiency of program processes; Negotiating effectively with multiple commands and outside organizations to accept and implement recommendations affecting operation plans and missions. NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing. If you are a dual citizen, please identify the countries of citizenship. The NATO Status of Forces Agreement prohibits employment in the U.S. Civilian Component in a host nation of any person who holds dual citizenship of the U.S. and the host nation.
