JOB TITLE: Cybersecurity Consultant – Threat Intelligence and Hunting TYPE OF CONTRACT: CST2 UNIT/DIVISION: TECI, Technology Division DUTY STATION: Remote Work DURATION: 11 Months (renewable) BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT: Under the general supervision of the Chief TECI and the direct supervision of the Head of Cybersecurity Operations, the incumbent will drive WFP's efforts to operationalize cyber threat intelligence (CTI), strengthen threat hunting capabilities, and enhance detection engineering strategies. ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop, maintain, and support a cyber threat intelligence capability and associated CTI tools. Design and establish procedures for examining and profiling adversary community structures. Collaborate with external partners and enhance threat intelligence feeds. Utilize threat intelligence platform to inform defensive strategies and threat hunting efforts. Enhance detection engineering by correlating threat intel with suspicious files. Document workflows and detection methods to ensure consistency in cybersecurity operations. Perform other security-related duties as required. DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT: Integration and operationalization of CTI. Strengthened proactive threat hunting capabilities. Enhanced detection strategies using correlated threat intelligence data. Seamless integration of CTI tools with existing cybersecurity systems. Support to investigation activities as needed. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Education: University Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related disciplines. Experience: At least 5 years of relevant work experience. Knowledge & Skills: Solid IT Security skills with practical experience in incident response. Experience with SIEM and threat intelligence platforms. Strong understanding of CTI methodologies and threat hunting techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft and Linux security hardening. Data Analytics and scripting skills in Python and/or PowerShell are assets. Languages: Fluency in oral and written English is mandatory.
