We currently have an opportunity for a Customer Solutions Engineer (CSE) to support the Plant Engineering opportunities within the area of Balance of Plant (BOP) and Plant Engineering.
The CSE will support the business segment with focus on Plant/BOP engineering for EMEA utilities, and help Westinghouse differentiate and provide competitive offerings through understanding of customer-specific needs and requirements, solution selection, technical content of proposal, costing & pricing, responsiveness, and quality of bid.
The CSE position will also help to ensure that programs are delivered successfully to our customers.
What your Day to Day Looks Like   Supporting opportunities and projects which involve non-NSSS engineering in their scopes Define most efficient industrial scheme for each opportunity Interface with customers and suppliers Supplement, mentor or guide project/capture teams on plant/BOP engineering and customer aspects Work with different internal stakeholders.
leadership, technical teams, sales, contract managers, legal, commercial integration, finance, project controls, EPMO Develop relationships with internal stakeholders, such as Global Engineering Services (GES) and Global Operations Services (GOS), to ensure people, processes and technology are available to deliver offer commitments as well as enable market growth.
Ensure strong collaboration with GES/GOS resource managers occurs, along with Sales / Commercial Integration to generate and provide high quality proposals to EMEA’s utilities.
Engage, initiate and facilitate the interaction between different working groups, experts and disciplines across Westinghouse to support the offer/project needs Provide efforts to leverage / develop key customer relationships at Nuclear Utilities, specifically in engineering, to facilitate the understanding of customer needs and ultimately create proposals with strong value propositions to meet customer needs and secure Orders Entered (OE).
The CSE will be accountable for technical content of proposals, costing and quality of bid in this portfolio.
Work in the Plant Engineering product line to monitor and assess near-term client trends, customer buying patterns and competitor moves to adjust product positioning.
Recommend and validate the price to capture maximum market value in EMEA while delivering on business plan assumptions such as Margin As Sold; collaborate with the Sales team, to align on final price to customer.
Collaborate with Sales on capture planning and final order negotiations.
Support Plant Engineering CSM and Director to provide accurate product financials as well as regular financial forecasting.
Support the business unit by developing resource demand signal for Global Engineering Service (GES)/Global Operation Services (GOS) engineering needs and engage with GES/GOS resource management when needed.
Navigate the various product lines within ES EMEA (Plant Engineering, PWR Engineering, BWR Engineering, etc.) as opportunities arise, interfacing with other Customer Solutions Managers and Engineers, as needed.
Candidate skills.
8 years of experience in some systems engineering discipline (fluid systems, electrical, I&C), including some knowledge of nuclear power plant safety systems and related topics (Nuclear safety classification, normative framework, qualification, licensing) Knowledge of installation / commissioning A candidate with experience in international clients will preferably be valued English proficiency     We know that to put forth your best effort, you need to be challenged and enjoy what you do in a supportive and respectful environment.
