Do you want to be part of a winning team and are you the one that will bring extra power to our credit & collection team, this is the opportunity to apply for an interesting role within our team in a very dynamic, hands-on, organization operating in the life science sector.
This position is part of the EMEA Financial Shared Service Centre and will be covered remotely from Italy.
In this role you learn about setting and meeting targets, work with the manager in the forecasting process and you will have the ability to develop yourself further into the role within the world of Credit and Collections.
The function is a remote function that reports to the manager Credit & Collections for Phenomenex, who is located in the UK.
The “Credit & Collection Specialist” for Phenomenex EMEA will be responsible for:• Monitor accounts in the assigned collection portfolio and assure timely payments are made, with a high focus on meeting various monthly targets like Cash Received, DSO, Dispute resolution and Bad Debts • Assure that all relevant data is logged in the Credit Management tool Trust-It and that all actions are done on a daily basis • Make active phone calls towards customers and internal stakeholders to gather feedback which helps the collections process • Help and assist within other collection area’s and come to a cross-functional communication within multiple teams • Reductions and improving order backlogs • Be a pro-active player in improving Working Capital • Assure that the work what has been done is communicated to the Manager Credit & Collections with fact-based data • Back-up role of the Manager Credit & Collections, these duties to include, Cash reporting to Team/Stakeholders, Approval of Credit notes, Data upload of PowerBi/Invoices to Trustit.
Other tasks will be added to the list over time to ensure full back up coverage of the Manager.
The essential requirements of the job include.
• Finance or Business-related Secondary vocational education plus 2 years of experience in Credit & Collections• Track record of achieving DSO improvements and hitting cash collection targets – result oriented … • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving mindset and be able to act consistent and compliant during time pressure and stretch goals … • Fluent in English, preferred with Spanish and Italian language skills …• Ability to work under own initiative and under stretch targets … Would be nice if you have:• Previous experience in setting up, or, improving a collections process, able to deliver continuous improvements … • A good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel … • A “Can Do” and “Let’s Do It” attitude … SCIEX, a Danaher company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
