COST ENGINEERING LEAD

Job Description This is a key role for supporting the development and implementation of “Should Cost” & “Does Cost” Models, Value Analysis & Value Engineering initiatives, ESG/GHG emissions calculation and component/product life cycle analysis.
The procurement scope will include partnership with key stakeholders in product management, engineering, supply chain and ESG teams.
Reporting to the Group Procurement Director, in this role you will continue developing our procurement function within the organization.
In this role you will develop a Rotork group wide Cost Engineering methodology and systematic approach, with focus on cost reduction, sustainability and customer satisfaction.
You will partner with external provider(s) of “Should Cost” software and technology centers related to environmental requirements, LCA and product sustainability aspects.
You will also support product management and engineering new product development for determining early-stage component cost and/or carbon emissions, while partnering with strategic suppliers to cooperate on cost analysis and cost reduction initiatives.
This role would suit a determined problem-solver with experience in cost analysis, VAVE and manufacturing engineering who can support the procurement team in should-cost-based negotiations, partnering with Category Managers and site procurement teams.
The position will facilitate design to cost, design to manufacturing and design to sustainability methodologies, making these tools business as usual across Rotork organization.
Experience Requirements.
University degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace or industrial engineering.
Experience in design to cost, VAVE and manufacturing engineering.
Experience in should cost methodology and supporting should cost-based negotiations.
International experience across the regions that Rotork operates.
The Successful Candidate.
Strong planning, organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others.
Fluent in English.
German and/or Italian desirable.
Experience in the valve industry, preferably for Oil & Gas, Water and Power sectors.
Ability to travel overseas up to 30% of the time.
