COLLABORATOR IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR EU-FUNDED PROJECTS ON CLIMATE RESILIENCE AND BIODIVERSITY - FULL TIME (100%)

Institute for Alpine Environment Eurac Research is a private multidisciplinary research center located in Bolzano/Bozen, in the heart of the Italian Alps.

Currently, it has over 650 employees and is organized in 11 Institutes and 7 Centers.
Within the Institute for Alpine Environment, we are looking for an engaged and enthusiastic professional to work as a collaborator in project Management on a portfolio of two European funded projects (Interreg Alpine Space program), with the possibility to be involved in other projects/tasks of the Institute.
The three-year projects in question (RESPOnD CUP.
D53C and AlpsLife CUP.
D53C) focus on building climate resilience in alpine vineyards and harmonizing biodiversity data, respectively, and involve a broad partnership of research centers and public and private institutions across the Alpine Space cooperation area.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing the various project activities, partners and stakeholders, managing the project administration, finances and communications, and organizing events.
The Project Manager will report directly to the Scientific Project Coordinators and should be prepared to travel for work several times per year.
The place of work is Bolzano/Bozen (Italy) and the ideal start date is October .
Tasks.
Administrative and Financial Management.
Monitor and manage the project budget, including fund distribution and transfer.
Preparation, consolidation and submission of financial reports.
Purchasing management in close cooperation with internal service departments.
Provide administrative assistance to partners for project-related issues.
Project Coordination.
Oversee the timely production of deliverables and contribute to activity/task reports.
Setting-up and preparation of project coordination and consortium meetings (i.
., presentations and minutes).
Managing correspondence with project partners.
Support in planning and organizing project-related public and scientific events.
Communication.
Conduct internal communication measures as well as with stakeholders and observers.
Contribute to public relations and external media activities (e.
.
website content, newsletters, social media, press release, publications, etc.).
Requirements.
University degree in a relevant field such as Project Management, Economics, Communication, Environmental Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in project management, including budgeting and reporting (preferably in the context of EU founded programs/projects).
Excellent communication skills in English (minimum level C1) and good knowledge of at least another Alpine language (Italian, German, French, Slovenian).
Advanced knowledge of MS Office and illustration software, content management system (preferably WordPress) and social media (e.
.
Instagram, twitter).
Basic knowledge in and/or interest for biodiversity and climate topic are advantageous.
Good interpersonal and collaborative skills to integrate a working group and to interact with associated researchers from various institutions and countries and with European and local stakeholders.
Excellent organization skills, ability to work efficiently in a dynamic international team.
