We are now looking for a Chief Accountant to join our Wärtsilä APSS srl team working for a better future.
The position is permanent and hybrid and the preferred location is Diano d’Alba (Italy).
What you will be doing   The Chief Accountant is financials minded person.
(S)He is proactive, autonomous in his/her tasks and precise.
Utilising strong networking and influencing skills, (s)he identifies opportunities and risks.
Responsible for developing and maintaining close cooperation and communication with Financial and Business control, local management and other stakeholders.
As Chief Accountant, your work will focus on these main responsibilities.
Company level reporting, according to local legal compliance and Wärtsilä Corporation accounting manual, guidelines and requirements.
Supporting the Financial Controller with ensuring correctness of local company’s financial situation and tax position, including for example Profit & Loss Statement, Balance sheet and Fixed Assets.
Accounting and closing activities on company level in SAP and Oracle consolidation tool.
Support with collecting financial information for reports and analysis to internal and external stakeholders and authorities, e.
.
statutory financials (direct, indirect, transfer pricing, customs).
Support with collecting information for the Income Tax and VAT returns.
Support with the preparation of the transfer pricing local file for the local company and the foreign permanent establishments.
Contributing to internal auditing and internal control reporting of the company.
Supporting the Financial Controller by providing reliable and on timing information and reports.
Handling of all local / statutory compliance needs, e.
.
keeping the statutory registers up-to-date, letters of intent (“dichiarazioni d’intento”), seagoing vessel declarations (“dichiarazioni nautiche”), etc..
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have.
Good accounting knowledge and experience.
Some years of working experience in an auditing / accounting firm Italian accounting principles (OIC) / IFRS & tax laws and principles knowledge.
Good SAP knowledge (at least FI/CO modules), not mandatory but would be an advantage.
Internal Control knowledge.
Analysing skills.
Fluent in English.
