Role and Responsibilities We are looking for a skilled and passionate Software Engineer in Test to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. With a focus on C++ development and software engineering principles, you will help design testable features, identify and resolve bugs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our codebase. Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using C++, ensuring coverage for core features. Collaborate with developers to implement and test features, ensuring they meet specifications and are testable by design. Refactor existing code to enhance testability and contribute to the design and architecture of both new and existing features. Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, including object-oriented programming principles and design patterns. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs to maintain software stability and reliability. Advocate for testing best practices and support the improvement of testing processes and strategies. Communicate testing progress, challenges, and priorities during team meetings. What You Will Do: Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using C++, ensuring coverage for core features. Check the following requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development or testing with a strong foundation in C++ . Solid understanding of software engineering principles, including object-oriented programming and design patterns . Experience with software testing methodologies, such as unit testing, integration, functional and UI testing. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to identify areas for improvement in the codebase. Excellent communication skills , both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate across teams. Good knowledge of English , both written and spoken. The Ideal Candidate will demonstrate: Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine) is a big plus. Experience working in Agile development environments. Proficiency with version control systems, such as Git. A passion for tackling complex challenges, including geometry, mathematics, and 3D algorithms. What we offer: €30 - €50 a year Variable Compensation: Annual Bonus & Career Development plan based on performance and achievement of KPIs/Results. The role is Full-Time/Permanent and Hybrid as ZURU Tech has an office first approach, relocation is preferred either in Milan or Modena (Italy). Preferred right to work in Italy as we would like to fill the role as soon as possible. ️Flex Time: you can decide when to work from 6am to 10pm.
