Being genuine, kind, considerate, courteous, thoughtful, positive and respectful to ALL MAMA staff, guests, vendors, contractors and anyone on the MAMA Shelter premise is essential to performing the Bar Manager position satisfactory.

Objective.
The Bar Manager is responsible for developing the bar program in collaboration with the Director of Food and Beverage, while giving the guest an exceptional experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities.
Responsible for creating specialty cocktails, developing beverage recipes and making wine and beer selections for the bar program.
Develops the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet/set standards.
Assists the Director of Food and Beverage with hiring and retaining the bar staff.
Trains bar staff on all beverage recipes and wine/beer knowledge.
Actively assists in leading, coaching, and mentoring, developing and encouraging excellence from team members during daily operations by communicating company policies, standards and procedures.
Assists with manager and employee performance evaluations and discipline communications.
Creates and maintains positive guest relationships.
Provides guests with an outstanding experience.
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with suppliers ensuring the business receives competitive pricing.
Maintains all prescribed liquor regulations Adheres to all government guidelines for proper and safe food and beverage service.
Promotes safety and compliance with all legal workplace standards and guidelines.
Complies with workplace safety training program to ensure safety of staff.
Participates in effective department meetings.
Sets and monitor quality and service standards for staff.
Monitors cleanliness and hygiene of bar area.
Ensures adherence to cash management procedures Monitors and controls budget for the beverage unit/bar.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Previous experience in a high-volume bar.
Intermediate computer skills.
Must have the ability to work flexible work hours including evenings and weekends and holidays.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to anticipate needs and wants of guests while balancing business needs of the Company.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks.
Passionate and creative.
