ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST MSAT COOP

Job summary The Associate Scientist Coop is a college student who can apply theory and put it into practice for the resolution of problems and execution of projects.
He/she works on studies of diverse scope where analysis of data is required under the guidance of Technical Operations Lead or Designee.
The incumbent will execute projects of low-complexity and criticality related to manufacturing, packaging, and/or-cleaning processes; conducts and/or leads technical studies, investigations, process improvement projects.
Essential job duties and responsibilities 1.
articipates in the execution of technical projects following the plan outlined by Technical Operations Lead or Scientist.
Coordinates project activities with site functional groups and other affiliates as required.
May lead projects of low complexity.

oordinateprojectactivities and resources-for the execution's per project plan.

nalyzes physical and analytical testing results from the study to summarize results and conclusions in technical reports.
Evaluates problems/deviations resulting from validation exercises and recommends resolution.

orks with other teams to address technical issues and resolve them using sound scientific reasoning and technical expertise(consults other technical experts as needed).
etermines along with team, corrective and preventive actions using the appropriate root cause analysis tools.
Evaluates the effectiveness of the corrective actions.

dentifyingand reporting results that deviate from normal or expected results for routine and non-routine procedures and supports the resolution of the issue.

dentifies areas of process improvement and works with technical groups in the implementation.
May lead process improvements initiatives depending on complexity.

rovides input for Standard Operating Procedure and batch records revisions.
Authors, revises SOP’s, and departmental forms and routes for approvals.

ocuments and revises work performed according to company procedures and applicable regulations.

aintains his/her training curriculum up to date and in compliance with procedures.

rovides training to personnel involved in the execution technical projects.

bserves all company policies, procedures, programs, systems, rules, and regulations at all times of all compliance areas including but not limited to Safety, Environmental, Quality, Records Management, Human Resources, Security, and others; and encourage co-workers to do so.

otifies any violation or deviation to his/her immediate supervisor or compliance area officer.

rovides support to the ISO Team member of his department and to the Environmental Management System Coordinator for training and continuous improvement of the organization’s ISO system.

ollows all guidelines established in the organization for the continuous improvement of the ISO system.

ollows the proper indications as established in the SOP’s for chemical substances and hazardous waste handling or disposal, if applies.

ttends applicable education and training programs and immediately informs supervisor if there are tasks or duties for which he/she is not properly trained Education and experience The position requires at least 3rdyear of college of a bachelor’s degree of Science in Biology, Chemistry or Engineering.
Previous Internship/COOP and/or Academic Research experience preferred.
Previous work experience in pharmaceutical industry or related fields of research is a plus.
Qualifications In order to be eligible, you must meet the following criteria.
Legally authorized to work in the US and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (ex.
H1-B, F-1).
Currently pursuing a University degree, completing minimum undergraduate sophomore year prior to internship or co-op start date.
Availability to work on site if the position requires it.
Availability to work full time (40 h/w) for the entire co-op or internship.
Having a graduation date after the contract end date.

Project Management software, preferred.
