Opto Engineering United States is currently looking for an Application Engineer . The role will be overseen by the Application Engineering Manager. This individual will be the technical reference point for sales force, providing to the sales team and to the customers, both in pre and post sales, all the technical information related to the products and their applications. Additionally, the application engineer will collaborate closely with the R&D and Product Management departments to handle technical requests and applications, share market, customer and sales insights and develop their own technical expertise and skillset. Duties & Responsibilities: Gather and address the technical needs of the customer and the sales team, ensuring timely problem resolution. and solve the problems promptly. Conduct feasibility studies in the lab to assess product choice and applications. Deliver technical training both to the sales team and the customers on product features and their applications. Cooperate with the sales force in communications with the customers and negotiation of our applications. Share customer and market feedback with Strategic Marketing and R&D about products and applications. Requirements: Degree in Engineering or Physics. Excellent knowledge of English language. Strong communication, presentation and synthesis skills. Ability to organize and manage time and priorities. Application engineering experience, coding Skills in C++, C# or other coding languages, Spanish are a plus. Attention to details, interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and diplomacy complete the profile. There will be a period of training to acquire the needed technical and products knowledge to fill the role. In this regard, the individual will interact with a network of qualified technicians, which will enhance professional growth. Benefits: Medical, dental and vision insurance.
