APPLICATION DBA - DATA ENGINEER

As member of IT Process and Transformation department, Manpower is looking for an Application DBA with a primary focus on Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Cloud technology. In collaboration with Senior figures (Senior Data analyst, DBA, Process and solution owners), after an adequate training period, you will learn to manage complex environments that support Business Critical processes within a structured international company. You will as well work in relation with our data analytics team to help them having access to right data sources, creating required datasets and proposing end to end data driven solutions focused on our internal and external client needs. Key Responsibilities : Monitoring: Proactively Check the status of services, the performance of instances and databases. Identify and promptly resolve any issues to ensure the correct execution of Business processes. Security topics: Ensure database security by controlling user access and permissions. Configure roles and permissions based on company policies. Develop T-SQL Query: Work with developers to build and optimize queries and procedures. Contribute to the revision of the T-SQL code to improve the overall performance of the system. Performance Tuning: Design, maintain, and manage indexes to improve query performance and ensure efficient access to data. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot database issues, including system errors, data corruption, and other malfunctions even when on standby. Learning : Stay up-to-date on new SQL Server features and industry best practices through ongoing training. Understanding or willingness to learn Business Intelligence and Data Analysis methodologies. Qualifications : Diploma, Post-Diploma Professional Courses, Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Technical/Scientific/Engineering Disciplines or alternatively 1-2 years of experience in the DBA role or as a Developer with DB or BI skills; Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: Basic elements for administering Windows Server systems; Administration of relational databases, preferably familiar with the Microsoft SQL Server platform and its architecture; Database management, knowledge of backup and recovery procedures, management of indexes and statistics, performance optimization; Knowledge of database security best practices, including user management, permissions, and sensitive data protection; Ability to identify and resolve common database problems (e.g., query errors, latency, freezes, waits, deadlocks); Solid knowledge of standard SQL and T-SQL languages; Fluent knowledge of written and spoken English (Level B2); Problem-solving skills, teamwork and results-oriented skills; Preferred Qualifications : Knowledge degli ambienti di Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS) e/o Analysis Services (SSAS); Knowledge or Experience with DWH schemas; Understanding or Experience with Business Intelligence and/or Data Analysis methods; Experience in the development and/or maintenance of Integration packages (SSIS Package); Knowledge of one or more programming languages, preferably in Microsoft .NET (e.g. C#, VB); Knowledge of scripting languages, preferably PowerShell; Cloud skills, preferably Microsoft Azure; One or more Microsoft certifications related to the world of Databases and/or the Azure world.
