-NMR- Job Description The areas of responsibility are as follows.
anaging the collection of grape pomace during the harvest, ensuring proper storage for subsequent analysis; developing and optimizing protocols for extracting polyphenols from grape pomace, using innovative and sustainable techniques; characterizing the extracts obtained through mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and NMR; evaluating the anti-amyloid activity of the extracts, understanding the molecular mechanisms and test the efficacy of the compounds against oxidative damage, with potential applications for neurodegenerative diseases like Huntington Disease.
Requirements Mandatory requirement.
completed university studies of at least four years attested by a diploma in biology, biotechnology, natural sciences or similar.
knowledge of Italian or English or German (will be evaluated during the interview).
esired additional competences constituting evaluation criteria.
-         experience in polyphenol extraction, purification and characterization using mass spectrometry.
-         scholarships and research grants (please specify in your CV) in fields related to the position’s research topics.
-         participation in national and international research groups (please specify in your CV if this involved a stay abroad).
publication list with focus on wine, food chemistry and analytical chemistry.-         basic knowledge of NMR-spectroscopy applied to small molecules.-         good knowledge in English/German/Italian - will be evaluated during the interview.-         availability to start preferably by November 1st, .-         good organizational and communication skills.-         high motivation, ability to work independently, and strong team-working skills.
