YOUR TEAM You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where neuroscientists, psychologists, physicists, and engineers collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research. The Neuroscience and Society Research Unit (https://.../) is coordinated by Prof. Salvatore Maria Aglioti, who has extensive experience in several social neuroscience topics ranging from empathy for pain and existential neuroscience to social interactions and neuroscience of morality. The research focuses on the conceptualization and development of an integrated platform for neuroscience experiments using non-invasive recording and non-invasive brain and body stimulation. Within the team, your main responsibilities will be: Developing a strategy for the creation of the platform hardware and software, identification of components to be used and noninvasive recording and stimulation devices to be interfaced. Identification of devices to be interfaced. Scientific dissemination. Communication and outreach. Participating in national and international Grant writing. WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE A PhD in Psychology or Behavioral Neuroscience, including Social Neuroscience or similar. Experience in non-invasive stimulation devices, non-invasive electrophysiological devices, electronics, code programming, CAD software, medical and non-medical devices interfacing. A strong scientific production record, including publications, submitted articles, articles in preparation and conference submissions. The ability to properly report, organize and publish research data. Good command in spoken and written English. EXTRA AWESOME Experience in engineering related fields (preferred biomedical engineering), electroencephalography, electrocardiography, electrogastrography, thermal imaging, skin conductance response, magnetic stimulation, focused ultrasounds, electric stimulation systems. Advanced knowledge of Matlab, Python, Autodesk Fusion 360 . Strong problem-solving attitude. High motivation to learn. Spirit of innovation and creativity. Good in time and priority management. Ability to work in a challenging and international environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment. Ability to supervise projects comprising multidisciplinary teams. Intersectoral experience with NGOs and event organizing skills for translational applications of research.
